One hundred years from now it will not matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in my bank account, nor what my clothes looked like. But the world may be a little better because I was important in the life of a child.

Report Child Abuse

Do you have information concerning the abuse or neglect of a child-victim?

If you have knowledge of any act of abuse being or having been perpetrated upon a child-victim, Tennessee Code Annotated § 37-1-403 requires that you report the incident of abuse to the appropriate authority.

IF YOU SUSPECT CHILD ABUSE YOU MUST REPORT IT - IT’S THE LAW!

Report anonymously by calling the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services Hotline:

1-877-237-0004

Parent Helpline: 1-800-356-6767

Phone counseling available 24 hours a day with trained professionals.
Spanish speaking counselors available weekdays after 6:00 p.m. and weekends.

Failure to report abuse of which you have knowledge is a criminal offense in the State of Tennessee and punishable by law.

Volunteer Your Time

Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center, Inc. welcomes all inquiries from persons interested in volunteering their time and talent to aid the child-victims of abuse in Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson and Sevier Counties.

Everyone has some skill or resource that can benefit Safe Harbor’s operations and, thus, benefit the innocent child-victims of abuse in our district.

If you are interested in exploring the possibility of volunteering your services, please contact our Executive Director, Donna J. Koester, by phone at (865) 774-1777 or via e-mail.

For the safety of all child-victims with whom we work, all applicants seeking employment or to volunteer with Safe Harbor must complete an in-depth criminal background check, prior to being accepted.

Donations Welcome

Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center is an IRS approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations to SafeHarbor are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

The money you donate is used exclusively for Tennessee's Fourth Judicial District, comprised of Cocke, Grainger, Jefferson and Sevier Counties, to benefit our child-victims of sexual abuse, and other forms of severe physical abuse and neglect.

Safe Harbor’s operations are funded by corporate and private donations, as well as limited grant opportunities. If you are interested in exploring the possibility of providing your financial support to aid the child victims of abuse in our area, please contact our Executive Director, Donna J. Koester, by phone at (865) 774-1777 or via e-mail.

Mark your calendars for an annual fundraiser to benefit Safe Harbor Child Advocacy Center.
